Something new

Dear Friends,

A long time has passed, I am sorry for that :-( and now I am going to write another story about my small World. So many things has happened in my life like meeting new people and good people but the most important thing which happened in my life was the project work which was for 26 days. Me together with one other member of my team went to the remote part of the Kavre district which is quite near to Kathmandu but still very remote and there was no electricity in that area. Environment Ministry had given few thousands rupees subsidy to the people of those remote places to buy the Solar Panel to use it as an alternate of electricity and our job role was to take an interview with those people who were using the Solar Panel as an alternate of electricity. We have to take the interview of non solar users also to compare and contrast the situation between the solar and non solar users. For me, it was the first time going for a research like that so it was a kind of challenge for me to do the job which I did with the help and support of my loving husband and few friends like Sanne (whose everyday different gifts gave me the motivation), Anna, Martijan and others who took care of Ajay when I was not there in Kathmandu. Right now, I am back in Kathmandu and doing the computer work related with the research about the Solar Panel users and non users.

After work talks now it was the time of Christmas and we together with the volunteer group celebrated Christmas at Gaia (where else). It was a very nice evening and I think everybody liked it a lot with little bit dancing and singing Christmas Carlos.

Next day, Ajay and I went to Chitwan to see the 3 days event which was called as Elephant Race where they had many different activities like Elephant Race, Elephant Football, Cart Race, Canoe Race with cultural show and dance etc. I must say the Elephant Football was the main attraction of the whole show which everybody enjoyed a lot including us. Ajay took many photos and you can see few of his photos in his new website address http://www.ajaypant.com/ . He will be posting few of his photos in the coming days. And today we came back to Kathmandu and now I think I have any new thing to tell to you all so you have to wait for few days for another story. Till then Smile, because it does not cost any money :-)
