Final week in Holland.....

Hello Friends,

Today, is the last night of our in Holland and it is a strange feeling. At one point we are happy and wanted to go back home and there is another part of our heart which is trying to convince us not to go. Huh – strange feeling.

Last week of our was a nice week , after meeting Dorien we went to Alkmaar central just for a little walk and next day, Saturday we went to Amsterdam together with Rene and Cindy (because they came to pick us up at Alkmaar). In Amsterdam, we went to see Marijn and Ilke because we had a plan for lunch with them in Vondelpark. After lunch, Ajay and me took the tram to the central station to see another volunteer from their group. After our get together meeting with the rest of the group, we went to our next destination – Artis Zoo. It was really nice to see few animals there which you do not find in Nepal – like Giraffe, sea lions, Penguins and many more… After few hours, we all were bit hungry and we had a plan to go the Nepali restaurant in Amsterdam (yes, we were going to see another Nepalis in Holland, yepee). So, we were there to have nepali food in Nepali restaurant. We saw nepali people and talked with them in Nepali. We all had dal-bhat and it was lekker food again! After, lots of talking we realized that it was already 11:00 and it was our time to go back home – Alkmaar. Rene and Cindy already bought a ticket for us for going back so we just went back to the central station by tram but the train to Alkmaar was at 12:15 so we waited there for half an hour. We reached Alkmaar at 1: 30 or 2:00 ( I am not sure) but then we walked 45 minutes and reached home safe. For the first time, we went to the beach with our cycles and guys this time I ride a bicycle without any accidents. Good hai.

Sunday was easy day with boating with the Board members of SVN and I am little bit brown now because of the very good sunny day and you can see my brown skin, when I come back to Nepal. Monday was a day when we had plan to go to Jacinta’s working place. She works in Elderly home and it was very nice to see the elderly home because in Nepal as you know you do not see these type of elderly home. We talked with few people and also took lunch their and bid bye to them. Jacinta, thanks a lot for showing us around your working place. We really liked it. After Jacinta’s working place we went to Ina’s place to cook our final dal-bhat for Jaap, Marieke, Josanna, Ina but Jacinta and Martin could not make it because they have to work. It was nice dal-bhat again so Jacinta and Martin, you missed something.

Next day, we had a plan to go to Noordwijk to meet Ina and Auto ( I hope I spelled his name correct!!). We had first finding her camping place because they have their caravan in one of the camping site. Later, we went for a walk at Noordwijk aan Zee. Because, we had a nice weather and a good company we had a nice time in Noordwijk.

Today, is the last day of ours in Holland, so we went for little shopping and packed our bags. Henk also came back after his one month vacation in Nepal and it was really nice to see him again in Holland. We together with Henk, Jacinta, Ina, Nienke and Freek went for a dinner in one of Henk’s hanging place in Alkmaar. Now, we are back at home, everybody went to sleep but we Ajay and me had to do last few things so we are staying little bit longer than other to finish somethings like writing a story and sending emails.

So, friends this is my last story about our trip to Holland. We really had a nice time in Holland especially in Berghem and you all know why, so my dear friends, thanks a lot for everything and hope to see you guys again.

Now only one song is in my mind – I (we) am leaving on a jet plane, don't know when I will be back again…………
